Bobo Choses AW19....The Story of Benny Benson

Bobo Choses is not just a children's clothing brand based in Spain that happens to manufacture some amazing kids clothig always made from organic cotton....its also an inspiration. It looks for themes that we can learn from & that inspire our children. And the AW19 NEW Collection is no exception. This season Bobo Choses have looked to the stars, or rather a 13 year old boy from Alaska who won the State compeption to design the Alaskan Flag back in 1927.

As Bobo Choses say, "the sky is a flag we can all relate to". And in a time when people seem to want to put up walls & barriers maybe we should all think about the Cosmos & the story of Benny Benson, the 13-year-old Chignik boy who entered a contest for designing the flag for the Territory of Alaska in 1927. He looked to the sky for inspiration, choosing the familiar constellations he looked for every night before going to sleep at the orphanage. Benny’s design was chosen over 700 other submissions to represent the future of the Alaska Territory to the present days. Just like Benny did, we should also look up to the sky to discover that there’s a flag that links us all...whatever our nationality, colour, religion...we're all one.
